As Corporate Vice President for 343 Industries, Bonnie Ross is responsible for defining the vision and leading the Halo franchise. In 2007, she founded 343 Industries, an entertainment studio committed to fostering the growth and expansion of the Halo franchise, as well as driving innovation across Microsoft platforms. Ross is passionate about bringing together art and technology to transform how people experience entertainment. Her commitment to story and characters has helped 343 Industries build immersive, blockbuster sci-fi entertainment experiences within the Halo universe. Halo has created a legion of fans with over $5 billion in worldwide sales to date that has transcended video games and grown into a global phenomenon.
Over the last nine years, Ross pushed to broaden franchise reach and define Halo as a leader in transmedia across the entire entertainment industry, including the Halo series of video games, live-action digital series such as Halo: The Fall of Reach, Halo: Nightfall and Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. In addition, 12 of 17 Halo novels have been named to the New York Times Best Sellers list and Halo consumer products have generated over $1.5 billion in consumer spend.
She brings over 20 years of experience in the game industry, beginning her gaming career as a producer on PC sports games. She has worked on such titles as NBA: Inside Drive, Pandora’s Box, Zoo Tycoon, Dungeon Siege, Counter-Strike, Gears of War, Jade Empire, Psychonauts, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Halo: ODST, Halo: Reach, Halo: Anniversary, Halo: Spartan Assault, Halo 4, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo 5: Guardians and the upcoming Halo Wars 2.
