Multiple Projects: Splitting, Juggling, Balancing

One way for even a very small game studio to deal with increased risk is to take more bets -- make more shots. For instance, back in 2013, Kitfox was a team of four, and the only studio in the Execution Labs incubator to start developing their second game before their first even went to beta testing. Now, ten years later, they are only juggling more projects, with 2 in simultaneous production while publishing 3 more, spread across only 14 employees.

Led by Tanya Short (Kitfox Games), this roundtable will discuss the various structures, processes, and pipelines that support multi-project development and the ramifications of doing so. Participants will share both best practices and case studies in managing such workflows as well as debate how much risk companies should take on in 2025 with juggling multiple projects.
